BS.Player
Android media player that supports many file types
BS.Player is a powerful media player that can handle practically any video and audio you throw at it.
If you want an all-in-one media player for your Windows PC, then BS.Player is a great option. The included support for video and audio codecs is very impressive; in fact, there’s not much that you can feed it that it won’t be able to play well. If you somehow manage to find a format that it doesn’t support, it can use any codec on your PC, so you can just upgrade your computer with the appropriate files.
In addition to supporting all kinds of video and audio files, you can also use BS.Player to connect to audio and video that’s streamed over the Web, such as Internet radio and TV stations. The player supports subtitles for both streamed and file-based video. You can take screenshots while video is playing or paused, and you can even capture video or audio to a new file. Note that video captured with the free version of BS.Player does have a watermark.
BS.Player is fast, stable, and easy to use, and it includes many great features, none of which are paywalled. The ability to create bookmarks and chapters in video and audio files that you don’t actually have to edit is very useful and convenient. The app has a traditional settings window where you configure every aspect of the program, but it also has amazing hotkey support, which lets you do just about everything without ever having to open that window.
You can also skin BS.Player and customize the interface to your liking. A number of additional skins are included, and there are numerous options to download online. The default skin is archaic; it's a bit of an eyesore and actually diminishes the usability of the app. Most users will want to change it right away. The other issue with BS.Player is that almost none of the features are documented. If you run into a problem, then you’re going to have to hunt around the Internet for a solution.
